As of late, I've heard it really isn't all that useful to be listed by DMOZ anymore... Not 100% sure on that, though. From a PR perspective, I don't think it'll affect your site a whole lot.

Well there is(from the page I submitted) a pr 5 from that, a pr 6 from google and who knows how many from smaller sites using DMOZ for their links, so I was thinking it would.

I tried listing a few sites in the DMOZ a couple of times. Yet when I search them it says they are not listed. However some SEO tools say that it is listed with the DMOZ. This doesn't answer your quest, but it adds to the convo... tongue.gif

DMOZ is worthless anymore from a PR perspective. I have had numerous sites listed on DMOZ and have yet to see any direct results yielded from it. It was good at one time, actually crucial - but anymore your focus should remain on Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Now, when you say Yahoo & MSN... are you referring to them separately, or are we just going to start throwing both of the names into the same bucket?

Good question, honestly through my monitoring efforts for me personally Google and Yahoo! has amounted for most of my traffic.

Yahoo! is manually added - unless they changed their Algorithm since I was last in the SEO industry.

To me Yahoo! is more efficient than MSN - I despise that MSN Live search also.

But to answer your question No2. I was referring to them separately.

That's one of the problems. It takes so long to get listed.

your focus should remain on Google, Yahoo and MSN.

It is and has always been focused on search engines(mainly google because I notice that the rest will follow suit).

Well actually - you should focus on Yahoo! since submission approvals are manual and it is easy to get listed on. Google's spider will pick it up without much effort - especially if you are listed on Yahoo!
