New D.I.C Head Joined: 27 Apr, 2008 Posts: 1	OK, so I've made this little "design" for my blog: or: The main calendar image changes dependent upon the posts displayed on the main page (as in what day they were published), and if you view a post from a different day the calendar image corresponds to the post date. There will be pagination at the bottom for collections of posts from different days. That's pretty much it. I know - lots of blank space, but I don't really like cluttered. Then again, is this just too empty? And what about the fonts. To standard? Do they work well together? (There are only two). And what about the colours... or lack of? Let me know, it'll be most appreciated.

I would suggest making the calendar page about 80-85% of what it is and the font should probably be standard (instead of italics). I say standard because you should want the italics to set off special text like any quotes you want, paraphrasing etc. I like the second of the two shots the most and looks really nice. The spacing is pretty good and doesn't look too empty. I think the graphic at the top is just a little big and can be reduced a smidge to provide a better look, increase page loading speed, and allow you to have a little more space for content. Other than that, fantastic job.
