http://www.nativefurnitureworks.com/test/index.php

thats the page i'm working on ... as you can see everything in that white table cell is at 50% opacity.

i tried to set just the background, whatever i do, (throw a div on top, new table inside etc... ) it keeps taking EVERYTHING down to 50.

How do i go about making the text solid and completely opaque?

my code for the opacity:
CODE

          <th scope="row" align="left" style="font-family: verdana; font-size:13px; padding: 8px;background:#fff;filter:alpha(opacity=50);-moz-opacity:.50;opacity:.50;">
          <p><? echo $title; ?>
</p>
<p><? echo $row->text; ?><br>

</p>
            </th>

Try setting the text's position to relative.
