Hello, all.

I recently won an iPod shuffle, which I've grafted onto my headphones. However, I've noticed something - if I pause a song and leave it for a while, when I come back the volume levels will have reset to their quieter defaults.

Has anyone else experienced this? You pause the shuffle, leave it alone for a few minutes, and when you come back to it the volume has dropped.

If anyone has experienced it, do you know of a workaround or a fix?

Thanks,
Girasquid

Nope - just two buttons above/below the play button. I'm pretty sure I'm not hitting them when I hit the play/pause button either.

One idea someone mentioned to me was that the shuffle might be going to sleep after being paused for a while, and thus "forgetting" what its volume was set at - does anyone know if that actually happens? I know iPods with screens sleep, but I have no idea about shuffles.

that could be a possibility, have you tired looking on apples site to see if they have a forum,FAQ. or some kind of help section?

You might be able to find some answers in there.

What about your manual or any literature that came with it? Does it say anything about this in there?

I've done some Googling and read through a bit of their site - no luck finding anything, though.

The literature that came with it is sparse - only about 5 small pages with simple instructions like "plug into computer. Download iTunes."

It would make sense to sleep since it runs on a battery similar to its counterparts.
