Advanced ADO connection strings. Install requirements for Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server...

Error Message

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

Server is setup... Perhaps I am missing install files?

Thanks in advance,

Juli Bunavicz

Julie,

Where you had this posted was for tutorial request, so I split it into it's own thread (where it should be). You're getting that error because you either have the server name wrong in your connection string, the username/password combination is incorrect, of the user you're trying to connect as doesn't have access to that SQL Server.

Can you post the connection string you're using. Also, check and make sure you have all the items listed above correct.
