Hi all im dont understand hosting and am looking into creating a site on amazons EC2 and S2 systems.

but i need help setting them up. well it doesn’t make any sense at all to me.

I am looking for a web based management system that well help me out.

I have found a place called http://www.rightscale.com which seems perfect but at 500 a month and a 2500 setup fee it is way to steep.

Does any one know of a similar solution, or am I just going to have to learn how to manage a hosting environment.

Is there a reason you want to use EC2 or are you just looking for a hosting provider?

skyhawk133 - Well it would make it easier to scale in future. If my startup idea is even mildly successful it will chew lots of bandwidth and storage.

So I figured if I started along those lines it could be better for the future. + the hosting is fairly cheep. And I can install what I need... Well if I knew how to do ti properly. smile.gif

red - why not just sign up for the amazon web services and do it from there?

They give you a web control panel, and I'm sure if you google around there are ample tutorials on how to achieve anything you want to with the platform.

Just use the FREE RightScale.com account. It will do most of what you need.

If you need help just ask. Support@RightScale.com

The Developers accounts are also FREE.

You just use the aws.amazon.com account you have and sigh up with RightScale.com

Give t a try..
