I am creating a VM Image that I will need to put on DVD to mail to some other developers. Now I like KDE over Gnome (though I like the Gnome logo more... go figure). But I suspect that Gnome will make for a smaller image.

Space is really a concern as this image my need to be downloaded/put on DVD. Now it will not be small as it will have Oralce and WAS on it so maybe this is kind of a mute point. But it made me curious.

The difference, AFAICT, is minimal.
