I would go with a more fluid color scheme for starters. The top header and post headers are different colors - just doesn't look quite right to me. I would darken the sidebar colors as well. As it is right now, it just looks very cluttered. Not a site I would spend much time on if I had pulled up on a Google search.

Definitely work on the navigation [navigation] doesn't cut it for professionalism. It appears I had to scroll down forever to read all the threads, maybe truncating those for starters. Keep working on it, creations take time to evolve.
