Please could someone point me in the right direction to setup and maintain a subscription site as I have been asked to build one but I haven't coded one before I have a feeling it might be PHP but Im not sure, any help would be great thank you all.

Before asking for help, you should check to see what server side language that your web servers operate, as well as any databasing languages.

I wouldn't suggest that you start the project until you know what languages you'll be working with. & you shouldn't decide them until you know how the servers are setup.
