My Contributions

Hey yall,

I have created a webist for me and my spanish class. When open the file locally, all the music and videos work fine. I uploaded the html document to the server and created the directories in the proper place (i know cuz the pictures work fine) and uploaded the music. I dont think the music uploaded cuz when the uploads are finished, the directories are empty ( as if nothing has happened). I have tried to use both the server ftp and i have tried filezilla (both porduced the same outcome). I haven't excessed by broad band limit for the server nor my storage limit (again the only thing uploaded is the html document and a few pics). What do i have to do to get the music on the website. if using windows go to
THIS SITE
the music is in mp3 and my mac dosen't show the vid player for mp3 but my mac will show the player for m4a at
THIS SITE

thanks in advance

I haven't checked your sites (though I did check your hostme.info domain and didn't find anything). However, I know that in the past (it's been a while for me), with many free hosting services, mp3 files are strictly not allowed for copyright reasons. Even if you own the copyright to the file, the file type is not allowed on the server and will not complete uploading.

I'm guessing that that's the case here, although, as quickly mentioned, I didn't find anything on hostme.info's site that would have alerted you to this fact, if indeed that is part of their policy. You'd should get in touch with them and see if they have any workarounds for your web site (assuming that you do own the copyright for the mp3s).

Alternatively, upload them in zip files or something similar, but you won't be able to stream directly from the site.
