Curiosity has gotten the best of me. I have been helping various people in the C and C++ help forum lately, and it seems that a lot of regular people tend to rely on Various GDIs, such as Borland Dev-C++.

So, what C/C++ Compiler/GDI do you prefer?

I tend to use GNU's GCC (command line only) as my main development environment, with Crimson Editor as my text editor of choice.

But, I do not stop there. Before I actually consider my code complete, I will test it on a total of 7 different command line compilers, with max warnings turned on, including

MS Visual Studio 8.0
GNU
Borland
Digiital Mars
Intel
DeSmet C
Watcom

Once all I this is done, I usually boot to Linux, and run the code through Valgrind.

Digital Mars for me - can run it off my memory stick if needed, not that I do much C programming these days.

Was using Visual C# for some C# and XNA stuff recently, that is slow and massive, but the predictive input is rather nice.
