I'm involved in a project (my first big one with this company) which was supposed to start design in January and is due to be completed June 1. During the past few months, my boss has put off investing any resources into this and now it looks like it will be late and over budget (if it even works) and I take the heat. To further worsen things, I'm an independent consultant and the money I was to make will have to be divided among some other programmers just to make deadline. I was wondering if anyone has encountered similar situations and hou you handled it. Should I just look for a new job? Even though I'm under contract, the company moved to a nearby city so I don't think they could hold me to it but I hate to just walk out. Any advice from the more experienced appreciated.
