Hi I was wondering if there was any way to design a website editor using PHP, so that the owner of a website I am making can edit the pictures and text on their website with out needing to know any code? (kinda like drag and drop or upload tool) If not in PHP is there any other language in which this is possible?

----EDIT-----
Oh and also does anyone know any good site which have detailed tutorials on what ever language I will need to do this?

Cheers for any help you can provide smile.gif

it's possible in PHP, however it would require a file editor, as well as a PHP built Administrator panel...

Yes, your are thinking of a CMS Content Management System. You would normally store data in a database, and create, retrieve, update, delete data when necessary.

As far as drag and drop, you would need to look up DHTML for that, it uses javascript to that effect. You would let them drag elements around, and when they updated the page, it would send variables to php to save the state.

I'm not sure if you're still working on that project, but you definitely might want to consider using a CMS like Joomla or Drupal. Designing administrative panels can be tricky, especially if they're being built for someone with less than great technical skills. Something that's relatively user friendly such as Joomla and Drupal are great if you're only looking for something to manage content. More advanced features or customizations might be better off with scripting your own, as you seem to be doing. Regardless of which way you're going, good luck!
