To be honest, I don't know of any free open source whiteboard applications. A lot of companies put a lot of money into their whiteboard apps, and tend to protect them. Just try Google searching 'open source whiteboard' and you might be able to find something. If you do, post it on this thread so everybody else can benefit as well.
Also, if you find any posts on DIC to be helpful, click on the "This post was helpful" button on the post in question. It's a way to say thanks to the poster, and skyhawk (the webmaster), is keeping track of those stats. It's a new feature and really helps to flag helpful and insightful posts. Keep that in mind for any other posts you run into that may have been helpful to you.
