Hi,

We are the team behind the Jurassic Park mod for Crysis, ModDB's #2 Unreleased Mod for 2007. Due to certain limitations of the Crysis engine we have decided to create our own engine. We are looking for C++ coders to work on that engine.

Compensation:
Currently we are not offering any pay. If any profit is made off the project it will be evenly distributed.

Requierments(Please do not waist our time if you don't meet all or most of these):
Must be proficent in C++
Must have experience or be able to demonstrate knowlege with engine programming
Dedication to the project
Able to produce results and meet goals on time
Good communication skills
Previous work on mods or games is a BIG plus

The developer that you select, what's in it for them? You know that'll be the #1 question that anyone is going to ask.

What's the point of modding a game if you are going to write a new engine from scratch? Might as well make a stand alone game.

Well if you are planning on selling it, what kind of game is the jurrasic park game?

That's the idea due to certain restrictions of CryENGINE 2 we've decided to create our own engine. It will be a stand alone game.



Currently there are no plans to sell it, but that can all change. The game is an FPS where players will be put into the shoes of Dr. Alan Grant, paleontologist extraordinaire, as you make your journey to get off the island.

Dude, there's already a gme like that. The exact storyline and everything, on SEGA. is it 2d or 3d?

If it's anything more than a mod, you're going to get sued by whoever owns the copyright for Jurassic Park.

What kind of limits have you found in the Crysis engine?

We have been in contact with Universal's Lawyers since this project was just a mod. All concerns with legality have been addressed.
