does anyone know how to search a 2d array in php... i tried array_search but it looks like it only searches the first row i need it to search the first column

you can just do a loop. while $i is less than array length array search yourarray[$i]. then increment $i by one.

thats how i did it in java anyways i'm sure its practically the same thing.

thanks capty99 but i just did another work around where i didnt have to use array_search


i really should have just spend more time trying to get it to work but i hate php

Can you post your solution for the benefit of anyone else who runs into this problem? I hate reading discussions where people post for help, and then don't post a solution when they find it. It's sorta like getting blue balled. Thanks.
