So two classmates and I formed a team and created a game, Finale, based on a PSP/DS game called Lumines.

here is a rapidshare link to the .jar file. It is too big to be attached, and the best way I though of sharing it with everyone at this moment is through rapidshare. We will probably try changing it into an applet and hosting it on one of my teammate's website sometime soon.

.jar file doesnt' seem to work

Let me know if there are problems with the jar file. It is basically my first time exporting with .jar. I used the fat-jar plugin in eclipse to make the jar file.

We probably worked... around 3 weeks on this project. I'd just like everybody's comments on our project and any suggestions for improvements or enhancements.

Thanks!!

is the menu screen like... gray? Because at first it would do that for me. After that, I tried compiling with Fat-Jar and also using the jdk/bin/jar.exe file to launch the jar file.

btw the title screen is very colorful. you should be able to tell when you see it.

and you could try this link instead. its still rapidshare

try doing right click-> open with-> browse... ->C:/Program Files/Java/jdk_version number/bin/jar.exe

if that doesn't work... then i don't know... i fail at making .jar files.

i'll let you guys know if i get it hosted on a website.

EDIT// Yeah... i fail at making .jar files. for some reason it will work if i open it in the same folder as my source code, but as soon as I drag it out to the desktop it doesn't work any more. =[ If someone could help me export the program as a .jar file, i would appreciate that.

The simpliest way is to make it an applet first since I think it would be running online or something..

after turning it into an applet.. use a simple winzip utility tool to add all your files into a single archive.. then rename the .zip into .jar.. that works perfectly for me.. since .jar files are actually like zip files..

create a html that will use the .jar file.. then bundle them in one archive file and upload it to rapidshare.. that way the users who will be testing your program would only click on the html file..

well if you design your program as an application you may have a problem turning it into an applet when it comes down to loading images.. applet has a different way on handling images..
