That would be illegal.. lmao.. unless you mean free EBOOKS.. blink.gif ..

well you could look for.. learning java 3rd edition .. thats my first java book.. and it's good.. it covers lot of topics.. but I don't like it the first time I've read it.. because it lacks exercises that I could probably test.. but when you get the hang of it.. its quite good..

I've read your signature.. lmao.. blink.gif .. here I have this problem..

could you make a simple java applet that will let two different player play in it using two browser.. it's like a mini two player game..

what you need..

1. An Client Applet.
2. A server class that will handle connection..
3. A somewhat embedded database that will handle there event's like currect position, or current score..

4. all files including the embedded database, uploaded in a free webhost.. see my signature for a free webhost.. blink.gif

5. Maybe somekind of online chatBox..

that's what I'm into now.. but if you could give a good sample.. that will give me a head start.. blink.gif ..

No.. I'm serious.. I'm learning Java for almost a month now.. and I just started reading some information on java networking.. I thought it would be c00L if you could get a fix goal like me.. so that we can learn java together.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif blink.gif blink.gif

You won't probably know the essence of learning while making a project.. but that is what the real world require.. they won't hire you because you can solve mini problems like pascal triangle and so on.. they will see if you indeed done some major projects.. if you can actually incorporate all the basic skill you have and create something advance out of it..

I'm just telling you that its best to learn while building a project.. rather than solving mini problems.. blink.gif icon_up.gif

Having a good knowledge about the basic should be good enough for you to start planning on doing a project that will require you to learn advance techniques..

basics is all you need to know.. JAVA API is damn HUGE.. you can't learn them all.. so Plan a project and if youre project needs something you don't know.. research it.. blink.gif master the basics and your all set.. icon_up.gif
