I have been learning C# for a while now, and I would especially like to learn how to write games in C#. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for books that are out there about writing games in C#. Preferably a book that starts out simple, and works its way up to complex.

Thanks allot guys!

If you want C# advice, you'd be best asking for it in the C# forum wink2.gif

If you're a C# guy, definitely look into XNA, Microsoft's game development framework. It's super easy, has great built-in tutorials and with the "Holiday 2008" release of 3.0 Final, you'll be able to develop for computer, 360 and Zune. There are tons of books on XNA and XNA 2.0 and all of them that I've skimmed covered pretty much the same topics.

Thanks for the replies guys and sorry for posting in the wrong forum! I have looked into XNA, looks pretty cool, I Just want to get a bit more of a foundation on C# before I jump into XNA. Seems like you would need to have a working knowledge of C# before you start in with XNA.

Not really. XNA sets up most of the stuff you need. Understanding C# syntax and how it works is different then understanding how a game is programmed and how it functions.

Depending on how advanced you are at C# just googling game programming in C# could give you a plethora of information ranging from the most basic to more advanced.
