wow I have a lot of php questions these days. I guess that's a good thing.

First off, please don't ask WHY we're running php on a Windows Server...

But I can't seem to get mail() to work. It doesn't return any error messages, but it also doesn't return true or send the email. We've checked the smtp settings and such.

Any ideas?

i've had an error like that before too. and so i have to ask, you do have some kind of mail server on it don't you? windows doesn't (as far i know) come with a default mail server. so you'd had to install one.

no, we route it through the linux mail server from the windows box.

anyway, I figured out the problem: I had \n characters in my message text, and apparently that's not allowed. I couldn't find it documented anywhere but it seems to be that throwing it off... cuz as soon as I take those out it works. :)

yeah but as soon as you move to a windows server there are all sorts of stupid little things that don't work anymore ;)
