Doomsday Engine, Any Doomers used this?

Debian guru Joined: 30 Dec, 2007 Posts: 1,447 Thanked 10 times Dream Kudos: 325 My Contributions	I'd never even heard of it until you brought it up. The Darkplaces engine is pretty interesting btw. It's a modified version of the Quake I engine. The FOSS shooter Nexuiz is based off of it, and GTKRadiant (a fairly sophisticated map editor) has support for it. New D.I.C Head Joined: 9 Jul, 2008 Posts: 9 Thanked 1 times My Contributions	I don't like the dooms day engine. The only thing I like about it is the launcher Snowberry. I recommend ZDaemon and Skulltag for multi-player and keep an eye out for Odamex and the good thing is, Odamex is open source. If you have any questions about the doom engine, please visit irc://irc.oftc.net/doom-tech Those guys there know a lot about the engine. Especially fraggle who has made numerous doom ports and is very knowledgeable. Also check out doomworld, you can find a lot of doomers there.
