ok so obviously if i wasnt a noob i would be here.....i would probably be designing..... i need a step by step tutorial on how to make a text based game.....im going to be attempting to make a mafia game so ill need plenty of help from experts and beginners attempting to make mafia games as well thanks for the help NIGHTCOMET5

P.S. Im going to attempt to over take the ratings from mafiadeath theyve now officially pissed me off wink2.gif

Suggestion One: Try the games forum!

What language do you want to use?

And have you even mapped out the basics?

You can also try doing a search on our board. This topic has been asked quite a bit (especially for mafia games) in the PHP forum. You can also try out the games forum as suggested above. This question has been beaten to death and there are plenty of resources on our board.

If you ever have any specific game developing question for PHP, feel free to ask on our PHP game thread pinned to the top of the PHP board. Myself and others are always happy to lend some advice if you ever need it.

Large text looks so ugly...
Merged your two threads, and moved to game programming. (It may read a little funny)

How much programming experience do you have? If you're just starting out, try the basics before moving on to a proper project... Once you can understand the basics, you're not going to need a tutorial to help you to write an entire game.

Are there any languages that you're considering using, or are you open to ideas on that, too?
