I'm pretty clueless when it comes to VB, but if it's VB.NET development you're after, you might want to try SharpDevelop.

Although it's largest audience is C# developers, there is a VBNET project option too. Give it a try, it might be what you're looking for smile.gif

Hope this helps smile.gif

Edit:
wooooooooooooooooooooooooo Cloud!

Not sure if I can help you with that one...
That should be up to the admin, you can't really install .NET on a flash drive or anything.

Haven't your school computers got the .NET 2.0 framework installed anyway?

Try bugging your admin about it.

Show them that you are really bothered because you've downloaded a program that can be run from your flash drive, and make up some bullsh*t story that you don't have access to as many resources at home.

Tell them that you only want to do this in your breaks anyway, so it won't be a distraction in class.

What else could you say?

Oh, I see your UK flag... no chance, IT in UK schools royally sucks.

Damn.

While we're on the subject of the UK, where abouts are you from?

You probably won't be able to get them to install anything however if you want, you could grab an IDE like SharpStudio that fits on a USB drive and windows probably has .NET framework 2 installed at your school at least smile.gif

You could use that and still work on C# and VB.NET projects.

Cannock, it's by Birmingham...

And to add to this, they must have some .NET framework installed, right?

yes, to do anything with VB.NET or any .NET language, you need to have at least .NET framework 2 installed.
