step one, open visual basic 6.0
step two, create a new project (name it HelloWorld)
step three, put a button on the form
step four, double click the button (this brings up the code menu)
step five, type
CODE
msgbox("Hello World")

step six, run the program
step seven, click the button.

That should be a good start wink2.gif experiement!

Another method, would be...

    1. Move your cursor to the top-left of the screen, just below the little icon thingy in the titlebar of vb6
    2. Slowly, move your cursor to the right. You will notice how all the menu items in the menu bar start to pop-up as your cursor moves over them. Keep doing that, but when you get to the one that says 'Help', STOP!
    3. Now, click right over the Help menu. You will see that magically a menu displays below it.
    4. Here's the tricky part, slowly move your cursor downward. You will notice that all the little items turn a different color when your cursor moves over them. Now, when you come to the one called 'Contents', STOP!
    5. Lastly, without moving the mouse, raise your right index finger as high as it will go, and then, slam it down, and magically, a help window will show!!

Hope that helps. biggrin.gif
