The Best Way?, Gaining proficiency in coding.

I have been told that the best way to learn VB (or any programming language) is to take source code and 'step thru it' & watch it at work.
Is this good advice? Many thanks for past help on my first post...think I'll stick around here, no bovver. smile.gif

Yeah, as long as you can understand each step for what it is, so don't look at any code too complex for your level, and look for code that is structured at least, if not commented.
