Hey everyone,
I was running through the planet mysql blogroll and ran across an article regarding one of the MySQL engineers. Apparently his son is in need of a marrow transplant, but hospitals in the Ukraine are unable to accomodate the transplant. Therefore he's going to need to be taken to a hospital in Europe or Israel. They estimate the cost of the transplant to be between $150,000 and $200,000.
There are a ton of people that read this forum, so I figured I'd post about it. If you use MySQL at all in your work, consider donating something as a thank you. Every little bit helps, so if you can only send a couple of bucks, do it.
Below is a link to the information about the donation on the MySQL website. Check it out, and donate if you can. Just think, if 10,000 mysql users donate $10 bucks, they'll be halfway there.
