I have created a form with tabcontrol and a statusbar.
How can I display a message in let's say panel 1 of the statusbar when I select or click on a tab?

Add a SelectedIndexChanged event for the tabcontrol in your code, which will fire every time a tab is clicked on. Put whatever you want in that sub.
