For example a few days ago there was a topic on stripping the comments out of a file. Here is a good idea of a simple (yet useful) program: Extract out the comments before a function and format them into an human readable document. This is a simple version of what programs like Doxygen give you. This can be very helpful in getting those extra couple of points for your projects in school.
