Hello everyone,
Does any know of any good code blocks tutorials? I'm new to the IDE and the help article's i've found so far haven't been too helpful. I'm using an OS X environment but any tutorial whether it be for Mac or PC would work fine. Thank you in advance for the help.

Yeah, Code::Blocks is just the development environment. Use it like you would XCode or Visual Studio.

I mean more along the lines of tutorials for the development environment. I'm just learning C++ as well as different environments and there are still quite a few features in code::blocks i'm looking to learn, so just wondering if there was any good tutorials out there for the main development environment.

Since you've only just started out, you don't really need to know how to use the features. Just learn the basics, and as you go further you'll be able to figure out what the other tools do.

There aren't really too many tutorials on how to use an IDE, since they all process the same code. An IDE is basically just a fancy text editor.

Ya for sure, i'm just still trying to figure out how to get my text in C++ highlight form. Right now everything is black text and not the traditional colored text. I tried looking at the help articles and the users guide but it's not too clear. Any idea on how to turn on highlighted text?

Check the options. There's a Code Highlighting on/off button.

Open a new empty file then do a save as myFile.cpp and it will highlight accordingly.
