I have developed a database which has a list of tasks to be performed weekly, all works fine, however my problem is that the table contains the information for weeks 1 - 52 only as the system was only to last one year. Because of constraints, the IT department will not now be taking on the database, and i need to extend it to run into 2009 and beyond.
Is there an easy way of extending the database, or will I have to delete all the information collected in the current table as of the 1st of January and start again?

what if you just started a new table for next year and kept the existing table?

or add '2008-' to all the values and continue with year+weeknumber.
