I've always thought to myself why can PS3/360 Fanboys get along? Most of the good games dropping in the next year will be on both platforms but yet we still argue about how the same game is gonna be better on this console. IMO PS3 > The 360 In Specs and Gameplay! The PS3 also allows more modding and is great for programmers and tech geeks . But that's just my opinion. Now i wanna hear yours.

I was a Sony fanboy till last year. Xbox 360 hands down best system. Graphics will go to Sony but they still haven't gotten their shit together and Microsoft is well in to developing there next system.

I have played the PS3 a couple of times, and other the graphics i think the xbox beats it.

Two games that come to mind that PS3 users dont have are Halo and Gears of War.

I don't think PS3 has a game that can match these two. (COD4 does, but i'm talking strictly about games only for PS3).

I could be wrong, but i don't think PS3 offers as much "on-line" features as the xbox.

You must be forgeting about Metal Gear Solid 4. It has way better gameplay then halo but not gears of war. Besides Xbox was realeased one year ahead of either gaming platforms. If the ps3 was realeased at the same time you people wouldn't be talking so highly of the 360 like you do now.

The 360 is better than the PS3. The PS3 may have better graphics, not that I could tell when they were side by side, but the 360 will always be bigger simply because of number of games. The PS3 and 360 could have come out on the same day and I would still pick the 360 over the PS3.

and besides you just said that 360 has a better variety of games then the ps3 does but if they dropped on the same day then wouldn't they both have the same number of comes or at least a close number

Well, the 360 had a ton of games for it the day it dropped, can Sony say that about the PS3? Nope they sure cant. I will say that I also prefer the original XBOX over the PS2 as well. I was never really too impressed with any of the PlayStation's from the outset, and was thrilled when the XBOX was released.

Ive played both the PS3 and the 360 and personally I prefer the 360, I guess that could be because of the number of games I have to choose from, I'm not sure. I've just yet to find a solid convincing reason to switch from the XBOX family to the PlayStation family, and until they can offer me one they can ,,!,,

I didn't think they graphics of the PS3 were that much better than the 360, not enough to purchase one over the 360 that's for sure. The PS3 plays Blue-Ray? Why do I need that when I already have a Blue-Ray player.

Can I program games for the PS3, no I cannot but I can for the 360. In most side by side tests done (and this comes from gaming sites) the 360 actually out performs the PS3, and in some by quite a bit.

Xbox 360 has a bunch FPS and high graphic sports games.
PS3 Has tons of variety.
Microsoft has been copying PS3's games
and putting them on their crappy system...

1. this argument has happened fifty mil;lion times already.

2. the reason the 360 is better is xbox live. thats the most important part about it because the biggest games (note i didn't say majority, just the biggest) are fps multiplayers.

3. mgs4 is sick on the ps3. kthxbye. thats it. the system is nice, and a decent media center.... but as a gaming device the 360 is the platform.

I have yet to see a good arguement for the PS3. All i have seen is

good graphics (360 has that)
variety of games (360 has that)

Sorry but I can't see anyone making an arguement as to why its better.


Oh and who's fault is that that PS3 was released later then xbox? Sony could have released it the same time, thats their own fault.

Another thing Xbox has on PS3 is the achievments you can get playing the games. Adds more to the gameplay of the xbox games. And i think you even said in the gameplay vs graphics thread that gameplay wins!

360 ftw. better games, better controller(ps3 just got rumble like what, 3 months ago???), better looking(not that it matters),but online experience, better warranty:).

im not saying ps3 is bad, but up until this point there really was no reason for anyone to get a ps3. and even now the only reason is for mgs4. but at $400 for 80gb, it is looking a lot better now. i feel sorry for the fools who spent $600 just to play resistance for a year...

IMO - Ninja Gaiden II, Mass Effect.

Hell even games with Multi player such as Gears of War (Still pwns), Halo 3, and COD4 all have kick ass Campaigns.

Sports games are only good offline cause EA servers suck balls and everyone quits when getting there asses kicked halfway through so it better be a close game if you plan to complete.

Like I said my whiole life I hated XBox and everything they stood for, then came the 360 - I did not want nothing to do with it because 1. Microsoft, 2. Microsoft 3. Everyone was on its balls.

I bought a 360 - and have been kicking my own ass ever since, I missed out on a whole year of gaming.

PS3 Does have online games.
And besides, at least it's free...

If you want variety. go for the PS3.
If you want a whole ton of blood FPSes
and Action games, go for the Xbox 360.

wouldnt variety be the system that has like 3 times as many games out? i dont think mgs4, resistance, ratchet and clank, and uncharted is really that varied.

XBox is shite. It's just Microsoft's attempt to get in on the console market, to make even more money. The problem is, they were too cocky, and thought that they could easily smash the other consoles, with years of experience in the console industry. Notice that Microsoft didn't bring out a console until the PS2 release? I wonder why... Maybe because they realised how much money the PSX made?

Before they even came out, I read a big summary (with actual hardware stats, not just "gameplay is better because..." crap) which compared both consoles performance against each other, and the X360 had practically nothing on the PS3.
