Just A quick Question: What is the easiest and most versatile language to build a text-based (mud) in? Remember as of now this will be my first game

The easiest language is going to be one that you know well.

There is no one language that makes writing a game easier than another.

'easy' is not very compatible with 'versatile', but all programming languages can do basically everything.
Just use what you are comfortable with.

By definition MUD should not be viewed as easy.

Nor is it a reasonable first project. I am assuming we are talking about Multi User Dungeon here?

Perhaps something similar to Colossal Cave would be far more easier to create.

C++ is good for text based applications. The aspects you need for a simple text rpg (input-output, vectors, arrays) are not technically hard in C++, and if this is your first game, you shouldn't focus on anything except the basics, anyway. Take your time, buy a good book on C++, and read some tutorials. You'd be suprised at how complex a MUD is, even with high level languages.
