I'm working on a site for someone, and they want frames... yuk, choke, puke
I WONT DO IT!!!

so I came up with a quick and simple idea to fake the frames, and have the best of both worlds without all the downfalls of framesets.

just put a include(); inside a table, and work var in the link
e.g. <a href=?page=frame>

He can still have his linked sites appear inside of his site, but without locking people into them.

I'm sure it's been thought of before. But it seems like a neat little trick, so I thought I'd share

1) they're ugly (except invisible ones)
2) they're a pain for bookmarking
3) they're bad for search engines because the frameset doesn't usually have any real content in it
4) they're a pain when you're trying to view source (yes, I'm lazy)
5) they've generally been abused for as long as they've been in existence, so we're sick of them

they do have certain useful purposes but I think the fact is that we've all just seen them used poorly too many times...
