I am working on a program which will need to show hex data in a window. What I would like to do is have a window pretty much exactly like this:
IPB Image

but It needs to be scrollable and the user should be able to select a byte/hex pair and change the value.

I am not sure how to create this type of gui control and I would really like some feedback. I will probably need to create it from scratch. I have decided that I would like to use C# but even that is still in the air. Should I try to do it with GDI+ or maybe something else? I think GDI+ may be a little slow if i need it to be scrollable...

look into the DataGridView control. I think it would work well for this application. Good luck.

Thank you for the tip =)

While the datagridview offers exactly what i need in terms of functionality it puts up more than a fight when u try to customize the look and feel. I simply dont think i could get the datagridview to look like the example I showed.

Does anyone have an example of how to strip a datagridview of all its styling? borders, backgrounds, fonts, colors? and apply custom styling to look like the image i posted above?
