Does anyone know of anything easy to learn and easy to use for creating an OpenGL window and handle keyboard and mouse input and(basically everything that you can't do with Open GL) other than glut or SDL,preferrably something that does not require a dll with the application for the application to work. I really would rather not have to learn how to use the windows API ,it really is not worded in an intuitive and easy to learn or remember manner. Also one that you can use to create GUIs for applications other than games such as text boxes, buttons etc. and use with c++. Much Thanks, L.J. Bush

Allegro is easy, but it does require a .dll and I'm not sure if it uses openGL.

Unfortunately none of these things are easy, but if you just want to work with high level code i would suggest using a 3D engine such as torque, irrlicht or dark basic. here you can easily create GUI's and other things, but you miss out on all the fun wink2.gif

good luck

Allegro does not use OpenGL, though there is a version that does [AllegroGL I think].

Is there any reason you don't want to use GLUT or SDL?
