I think this is the third time I've referred to this thread today...

Does anyone look at the pinned topics before posting?

Anyway, it's all about practice. Learn it, make something using it, lather rinse repeat. smile.gif

You will need some reference books, D.I.C and lots to time to practice coding. Read the tutorials and work through examples. There is so much info on here it's amazing. Good luck.

Well as everyone has mentioned, reading is a key part of being a good programmer. Continue to read and learn. As you read, experiment. Try out some of the book examples for yourself, read the error messages you get carefully, research the errors and ask questions often.

Remember that computer science is indeed a science. In all sciences you read, come up with a hypothesis, test that hypothesis, observe the results and draw up a conclusion. Then once you do that, you do it all over again with a new test and new hypothesis.
