ok, im using a form to updatea feild in the database right. i need to show HTML code on the page but when i type it in and send it, then pull it out back on to the page it turns it into the HTML, so is there a way to make it that if put the HTML,PHP ect into the form and set it to the db and pull it back out it will just display it and not take it as if its real HTML?

yes,

you could do it and display it into a text box which is the stupid way 2 do it... or u can do something else that just slipped my mind and is really pissing me off... GOSH DANGRET>

i cant put it in a textbox, would you want to read a site that has little textboxes everywhere cause i got to display alot of code. if you want to know im making my schools site

ok, on my schools site im working on a the web publishing class section. and there is like real basic HTML tutorials. but when i put in the HTML source, it wont display it as text, it displays it as what the HTML would make. so i need it so it will display what is in the database as text.

OK

before you put it in the database use the function.... htmlentities

that way, when you get the data from the db... it will display the text as

hell <b> o </b> rather than hello

I hope this is what you mean/want smile.gif

I don't follow, if you put it through it should encode all the html tags into the proper &; for display... How did you use it?
