I have become quite interested in three areas for an eventual masters degree, however with out a large amount of information it would be stupid for me to make any decision. Any help at all is greatly appreciated and I am asking for

* Projects that involve one of the following areas
* Career opportunities
* average pay of specific computer science fields
* colleges that excel in these fields (US specifically but global is okay)
* common programming languages used for each field

HCI
(Human-computer interaction) I would like to know projects and when it is used mostly on this (I know game interfaces is part of this but I am looking for areas outside of computers more towards appliances etc). As well what colleges generally have a great masters program, and any sites that specify in this area of programming.

Robotics/AI
I am interested in applied AI for robotics more then design/theory of AI itself, if anyone can help in any such area for this other then programming languages you would be helping a huge amount.

Scientific computing
Bioinformatics, Cognitive Science, Computation Neuroscience, Computation physics, all seem interesting and I know how they are used but colleges is an important part for this, as well I have heard that some of these are plateaued and I am interested if this is true, if the pay is better then average (average here for starting is 60-70k for a undergrad) and any independent projects.

If you know any forums that specify in these areas that would greatly help as well, and if you know any other big programming forums I could ask that would help a huge amount too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The location of the college does not matter, if it is private or public. I live in Washington USA and go to the University of Washington, however any college in the US or globally is fine as long as it is accredited and it's master degree is equivalent to that of the US's masters degree.

Have you even tried to do some of this research on your own? I mean I found half of this with on search on Wikipedia. Look them up on wikipedia, go down to the reference section and there you often find tons of links to groups, papers, references, etc for the subject.

Two more seconds and I found this...

HCIRN > Job Bank - A list of job postings with companies that deal in HCI etc

Jobs in robotics and AI

robotics jobs in USA | careerjet.com

Google search for robotics AI university programs

Another quick search yielded a result like this where it compares the best computer languages for the field of bioinformatics...

A comparison of common programming languages used in bioinformatics

Just do a little research man, there are plenty of sources out there for the taking. I found all this in about 2 minutes of searching.

Enjoy the links and take a few minutes to collect the research yourself. wink2.gif

I guess thank you. I have looked a good amount and read the Wiki sections, however I was looking more broad then specific job postings because those really don't help me. I was looking more towards the key areas of development. I guess I should have been more specific in my request, but I am not use to a reply giving me job listings lol. However I guess I did not look at the references which is a really grand idea and not sure why I never thought of it.
The biggest area I am interested in is open projects, so I can get a better understanding of it. Thanks for the posting lol.
