Connecting to MySQL - Mafia Game

HI, I've started to make a text-based mafia game like everyone else these days. Now, I've read up on php/MySql and I've begun making the game. I have a couple of things working and got all the links to link each other so far.

I'm currently using PhPMyAdmin and made the databes I feel I need such as User,Car,Weapon and armour database.

Now I'm hoping to start using mysql to connect the databases to the site but I'm unsure where to begin. Should I make a registration/login page first? or should I get the database and site to connect through Mysql?

I assume you'll be testing it on a local server. I'd make the login stuff last. Just make a test account and make sure all the features of your game work for that, and then worry about other users being able to join.

To save time, put your connection handle to your DB in a seperate file, maybe call it 'db.php' and require() it in every page that requires the use of the database.
