Just got a new Wireless 5GHZ router

Just got a new Wireless 5GHZ router, having some problems....

Go Leafs Joined: 29 May, 2002 Posts: 3,628 My Contributions	setting up a network here, got a 5 GHZ wireless router, a bunch of PCI & PCMCIA wireless E-net & slot cards, but im having some problems. The two computers that have winME installed work fine with eachother, everything is dandy. But the computer that has Win98 second edition can get onto the network, but i cant even find the damn "network neighbourhood" or "my network" icon or anything like that! do you know where i could go to download that? or what i would have to do to get the other comps to recognise it on the network? thanks

D.I.C Head Joined: 24 Nov, 2002 Posts: 66 My Contributions	make sure you have the network stuff installed...just pop the win 98 cd in and go to control panel and go to windows components (Pretty sure thats it) and see if it's installed if it isnt install it and if it is....bugger me if i know =)

Microsoft.Whore Joined: 31 Aug, 2001 Posts: 1,742 Thanked: 4 times My Contributions	you need to have the network card installed. that should install the Client for Microsoft Networks. this gives you the net-hood icon. go to the CP and open the Network icon. make sure the NIC, TCP-IP(bound to the NIC), and Client 4M$N are there.
