At school I am only allowed access on port 80, and I want to be able to axx my bnc which is on port 9000 and requires ident etc. As I have a computer at home that is on pretty much 24/7, is there a way I can connect to it on port 80 and then get it to connect to the bnc, for example, on 9000. I know I can just do ssh and irssi for the irc but I would prefer to use the xchat on my latop. Do I set up my home pc as some sort of proxy that does connection forwarding to specified addresses and ports? jam
