Ruby is used for everything you can think of.
Ruby has the best ( accordning to most of the web developeres ) web framework - Ruby On Rails . Merb is the other great web framework using Ruby. Of course, you can use CGI class and many more.
It has Java and .NET implementations.
GUI programming : Qt, GTK+, Tk, wxWidgets, WinForms ( through .NET implementation ), Cocoa, Swing/SWT ( JRuby ), OpenGL/SDL binding and innovative GUI toolkits like
ShoesSO it seems it can make web games .
I think I might look into it and maybe start learning it. I currently am making a website and wouldl like to make an IM app that can talk to other IM apps like aim,yahoo messenger, msn, ect ..ect..
I am now going to try and learn Ruby.. is there any good tutorials and websites that help you teach other then the Ruby website.
I saw some sample codes of Ruby but I only see much of the codes to show nothing but other ruby files included.
