IP addressing, Calculating the new subnet mask

D.I.C Head Joined: 17 Nov, 2007 Posts: 102 Thanked: 2 times My Contributions	Lan is 192.168.52.0 I want to creat 5 subnets (I took 3 bits from the host) 255.255.255.0 default mask new mask 11111111.11111111.11111111.11100000 Should'nt my new subnet mask be 255.255.255.224 is it 224 or 240? Not sure. Explanation appreciated
