How do you save a project in its current version so that you can revert back to it if you screw it up?

I would normally just do a Save As... to keep a back up to revert to. Evidently there is some other way to do it in Visual Studio 2005?

Since this isn't really a programming question, it's more of a question about the software, I'm moving this to the Computer Support & Operating Systems forum where it can get the proper attention smile.gif

You could copy the project folder to another location. Kinda weird you can't do a save as.

You create a copy of the folder where your solution/project resides and rename it as back up or just make a copy at another location, as GWatt indicated.

And then to load that backup, you do what? I tried creating a blank project and then adding all the files back in. Is that really the only way to do it? Seems crazy... Thanks for your help.

Don't you have a project file?

yes, i figured out an easy way to do it. my project file is just a pointer. it points to a virtual directory i created in iis. to switch back and forth between various versions i just point the virtual directory at which ever one i want to work on.
