I have a windows form in which there are certain controls like button picture box, menustrip, toolstripcontainer. In tool strip container there are 5 buttons and a picture box. When i make any changes to any of the controls in the form using property window like if i change the name of the picture box or if i edit any item in the menu and build the application then there shows some error message showing that button1 does not exist...button2 does not exist....The problem is only with the buttons inside the toolstrip container. For all other controls outside the toolstripcontainer and the picture box inside the toolstripcontainer there is no error. I am using VS 2005.

I hope i have given all sufficient information....

Thanks & Regards

it seems like you are changing the name of the control in only one or two places and not all of its location. When you are finished building go to your error list window (if you cannot see this window, go to View -> Error List, or press Ctrl +W, E) and double click the error it will take you to that error in the code and you can change it

Thanks Zakary Infact i got what the problem was. The problem was i had made the generate member property of the controls as false, and when i made it true all was working fine. So i think it may be the problem of that property. What do you think...???

Thank a lot for ur involvement.... smile.gif
