I am a computer science student, i want to develop a simple antivirus software as my project,
Please, could you help me with a java or visual basic code for antivirus software, if you don't have it, please give me a new topic on software development using visual basic or java[please include me with the code]

My Contributions
Developing protection software is a very complex task. It involves a big team of developers and requires expertise in math (one of the task would be the development of encryption/decryption algorithms) and the programming language used to develop the tool. This is not a task for a beginner developer.

Plus, the forum rules state that you should show some effort in solving your problem. Please, if you have any code related to the question, post it using code tags: code.gif

My Contributions
A lot of the viruses out there in the wild exploit weakness at the OS level.
Another problem is one of trust, and sad to say this but consumers prefer known well established brands in this area.
I can say with confidence that their (the known brands) software will protect my system against large percentage of the known viruses (and there a lot of them),
and should it misses one and it does infected. I can safely say they are working on a solution.

I really intend No Offense when I say this but I wouldn't trust your software with protecting my system, would you?
