Scariest Game You’ve Ever Played...what is it?

Silent Hill Games were pretty freaky along with some of the Resident Evil titles.

There are a few that made the pulse race, Half Life 2 was pretty scary from the moment of escaping the combines in City 17 right through to the end.

probably doom 3. i never jumped so much in my life. every door u open and every corner u turn, something jumps out and yells at u. its pretty intense. play it alone, in the dark, at night, surround system loud, and on a big tv. good time, guaranteed.

and fear effect was pretty creepy too if anyone remembers that one. it was on psOne

There's something about System Shock 2 that I found exceptionally creepy. And it did it mostly without the cheap trick of just having stuff jump out at you.

For atmosphere I think some of the vaults in Fallout 3 were creepy as hell. vault 87 I think it is the radiation one where you meet Fawkes - I was kinda hesitant about going in there.

The clone vault would have been intimidating as well if Fawkes wasn't with me cleaning house.

I had a J2ME port of Silent Hill and even that was scary. I haven't played the PC version.

Dead Space is scary only for a few levels.

I am waiting for the DLC and I will probably start over again. I have been engrossed in Fable 2 lately but I only rented it so I need to return it and come back to it later.

Why is it consumer Rapage? Xbox customers will have to pay the 800 or 1200 MS points. there is not set price but I am willing to bet 1600.

PC users are no better - you have to pay M$ everytime you upgrade something right?

A PC is not a console. Pay for what upgrades? I couldn't imagine paying for service packs for XP laugh.gif

If money is really a problem:
Open Office...
Linux...
You don't need a virus program unless you lack common sense, or just use Avast...

I use linux are you sure you quoted the right person. I was responding to KYA's post in regards to paying for upgrades & DLC on Windows live etc..,

At work I use Avast - I had to disable BitDefender on numerous computers because of slowing down systems. Once I installed Avast the computers sped up two fold.
