Need help setting up network with linux and windows

D.I.C Head Joined: 26 Feb, 2009 Posts: 155 Thanked: 9 times My Contributions	So I have a Linux desktop as my home server and I have Samba set up to use. Now, my dad just got one of those netbook and he's trying to network it today with this main computer. He can't do it, and I have been trying to access his desktop and netbook from my server and I can't get in. I get a password prompt for the computer and I put in a Samba user account's info and it still does work. Can I get some help? Thanks in advance, Phil

i R L33t Skiddie, k? Joined: 10 May, 2007 Posts: 13,234 Thanked: 289 times Dream Kudos: 2875 Expert In: Goofing Off My Contributions	When you say, "network" the two computers... what do you mean exactly? Or are you just trying to connect to a Samba share? Did you check the Samba logs?
