Fallout 3, yay or nay?

I would recommend renting it first if you can.

And, since they turned it into a fps, I'm also guessing that it's targeting the MP crowd and SP was ignored; that seems to be the formula nowadays. D.I.C Head Joined: 23 Jan, 2009 Posts: 91 My Contributions	Fallout is actually harder if you only use FPS. The VATS system really limits the FPS nature of the game. I use it all the time, and the FPS really only happens with melee. As far as gameplay, you get an epic main quest, a bunch of side quests, and a load of random encounters that really make the game fun. I love the game, and wish I could play it more. Stupid school...

The thing I hate about it is when you finish the main story line, the game ends. that's it. Nothing else. In Oblivion (which I love) you can do every quest in the game (and thousands of user-made ones) and the game will never end until you say it does.

I really makes the game worth playing. By the way I have spent countless hours playing and I am still finding things. I'm at level 20 and it is still worth playing. I don't really think I'm all that far along the main quest line, as I'm taking my time (and my xbox stopped playing discs about a month ago, it's waiting for me to get it repaired). I've probably played for about 20-30 hours and I think I'm less than halfway through the main quest line. As far as the Broken Steel DLC goes, it will be worth any price, because it will allow the game to be playable after finishing the main quest.
