Hai Good Day,

I am using Windows XP2 . Today morning i check with my system I got shock because my Access file (MIS.mdb) has been deleted. Although my system is connected over a LAN, i unshare my all drives ; then how it is possible to delete this file?.

Also i used a software 'Recover My Files' , but no such access file found to restore.

Can any body help me in this regard, I would really appreciate and thanks.

Regards
masipro

someone deleted it obviously, either physically on your computer or remotely via something (remote desktop?). Files don't delete themselves. First thing to do would be stop using the computer because each time you write to the hard disk it has a higher likely hood of overwriting the deleted file. Now here is a link on recovering deleted files:

an OS typically removes the pointer (reference) to the file but doesn't actually alter the underlying binary on the disk drive until it needs to use that space by overwriting the segment that the old reference once pointed to.

If your haven't overwritten the original allocation for that file then there is a chance you can recover that file structure and have some recovery software build a fresh pointer.

Obviously the probability of success decreases the more you wait and the more the disk drive is written to, this is merely a numbers game afterall, perhaps the next browser cache file will begin overwritting that valuable segment lol, I suggest you try some recovery software and quickly.

the first thing you should do is to stop putting any new data on the disk before recovery.
then you can search data recovery software on Google. there are many recovery software for your choice.
pay attention to comparing these software such as compatibility, recovery quality, preview ability etc.
My recommend one is Wondershare Data Recovery (http://www.data-recovery-utilities.com/data-recovery.html)
It can scan the sub-folder directly to save much time and energy.
you can preview through preview window to check if the files you need are recoverable and evaluate the recovery quality before you buy.
also it can do photo recovery ,partition recovery.

Good luck
